Thankfully you are still allowed being outside as long as you’re very aware of the social distancing. That means it’s actually ok to fly kites whilst staying away from other people.
That staying away thing surely drops the fun factor a little, but at least for me, go out flying (or care for the family horses) keep my mental health in balance.
Come to think of it, kind of peculiar that the lockdown is initiated at the date for the Virtual Windless Lite Festival 2021. Who’s trolling?
Anyway, this session was planned well ahead of the lockdown so yesterday evening I went over all my KAP gear just making sure everything was ready to go. Kites and lines in the bag, the KAP-rig with untwisted lines, the tripod, the GoPro and other nitbits stuffed into my rucksack. Yes, I was ready to fly!
