No meetings, no to-do lists—just me, my kite bag, and a craving for some quality wind fun.
The day started cool, almost moody, with a heavy cloud cover blanketing the sky. But there was something in the air—literally. The wind was already whispering through the trees, and I had a feeling it would only get better. Sure enough, as the day unfolded, the wind picked up, and the clouds began to break apart. By mid-afternoon, the sun pushed through and transformed everything. The beach lit up, the sand kind of warmed underfoot, and the sky opened wide.
That was my cue!
I grabbed my kite bag, tossed it into the car, and set course for one of my favorite local beaches. There’s something magical about flying kites by the water—the sound of the waves, the open horizon, and that ever-present breeze. It’s the perfect playground for a kite flyer.
On this session, I brought along my trusted A-Quad Semivented quad lined kite, one of my absolute favorites from the AERIALIS Kites lineup. The conditions were spot on—steady wind, open space, and just enough sun to give everything a soft golden glow. As always, I had my camera with me, ready to capture the vibe. I filmed myself flying, of course, but also took the time to shoot plenty of B-roll to help tell the full story of the day.
There’s a special kind of joy in moments like this. No stress, no expectations—just you, the wind, and your kite. Whether you’re an experienced quad flyer or just getting started with four-liners, days like this remind you why we do it. To disconnect. To recharge. To feel the pull of the wind and respond with graceful motion.
So if you’re sitting on the fence about taking a day off to fly a kite, let this be your sign. Do it. Grab your gear, find your beach, and let the wind do the rest.
You can check out the full video from the session either below or on the AERIALIS Kites YouTube channel. I hope it inspires you to step outside, feel the breeze, and just fly.
Until next time—see you in the sky!
