When spring is just around the corner and the Nordic Kite Meeting in Denmark is drawing near, it’s time to grab the kite bag, find a suitable flying field, and start practising my part of the team routine that we’ll be flying in Blokhus. At least that’s what I’ve been doing for the past few years, and it’s a method that works!
In advance, I’ve prepared by watching the animation Anders created and tried to memorize it. Whether I’ve succeeded or not, I’ll find out when it’s my turn to fly my part.
All the nerding in front of the screen paid off, and I managed to fly my entire part on the first attempt. It can only be described as a success! So I continued to fly the routine, five, or six times, and it’s definitely flyable. Hopefully, we’ll be able to nail the whole thing pretty quickly when the gang gathers, Anders, Marco, Farid, and myself.
But there was also time for some free flying. With cool music in my ears and good wind, there’s a lot of fun with a Semivented A-Quad about 40 meters out there.
…and if you’re as much of a nerd as I am, you’ll find a lot of exciting stuff in the video below, which clocks in at just over nine minutes.
By the way…. Isn’t the word nerd just another version of passion? …and tell me, what’s wrong with being passionate anyway?
