But according to the weather forecast, it was supposed to start raining in the afternoon. So I didn’t waste any time when I got home from work. I checked that the kite bag was in the car and then I headed towards the nearest beach where the wind was coming straight from the fjord.
Well, there’s nothing wrong with the wind. It came straight in and made the conditions quite cold as it hit me in the back. But what does that matter?! Just put on your beanie, pull the hood over, and assemble the kite.
With today’s wind, the choice fell on an A-Quad Hardcore, a four-liner kite developed by Anders Matson, and it’s a dream to fly when the wind starts to pick up. Just like today.
The rain still held off, and I FLEW!
With inspiring music straight into my ears, I could no longer hear the wind, but I felt it playing with the kite and pushing me in the back. Perfect!
Well, eventually the rain did come, but by then I had flown for almost an hour. A nice hour!
