It just had to happen! With temperatures well above +30ºC and the thunder clouds building up at the horizon. It was just a matter of time!
But there was a light breeze coming in from the sea. Perfect for some cool (?) laid back flying with the Zaephay before the storm.
I really start to like this kite of mine. It flies pretty well when the wind drops down to almost nothing. Yes, it can fly in absolute windless conditions too, but its sweet spot is in this really light draft. You know, when you’re kind of changing from flying to guiding your kite in the air!
I was looking for a kite with good gliding characteristics, and I made it. It’s a super glider being exactly balanced in the air. Not ultra super light, but with just the right amount of moment to fly/glide in those really light wind conditions.
If you would like to know more about the Zaephay details, here are its vital measures.
But…. ‘nough talking, here are some minutes of cool, laidback flying from the beach yesterday, just ahead of the thunderstorm. I hope you’ll like it!
