I have a whole bunch of Rokkakus that I use for my KAP’ing. I also got one inflatable lifter for when the winds go crazy.
You don’t need a lot of stuff to KAP, but being a gadget geek I have a handful of fancy stuff in my to-go KAP bag in addition to the cameras.
Kite Aerial Photography – or KAP for convenience – is when you take aerial photos using a kite to lift your camera and rig.
Kite Aerial Videography – or KAV for convenience – is when you shoot aerial video footage using a kite to lift your camera and rig.
After about one year of KAP’ing I decided to make a book on the topic. I picked about 300 of the best photos and put together this little book of mine.
People have asked me this question a few times. “Why don’t you just get yourself a drone?” But, no… In my opinion, there are a few buts.
Buy me a coffe and help keeping AERIALIS Kites alive and flying!
