It was a perfect day for kite flying, January 25th 2020. And the right time for shooting the longest movie.

Before I left the house I checked the tide table. The last time I took my kites to the Lagoon the high tide was in and made the flying field somewhat limited. Today, however, the tide was low and not expected to be high again before long after dark.

The wind was close to absent when I got to the beach. But the rest was astonishing. The low January sun was on its way into the sea and painting the sky with its golden rays. The higher clouds were coloured in shades of pale blue while the lower ones got a darker blueish tint.

The sky just above the horizon was not clouded but coloured with any shade of golden orange that you can imagine.

Off course I just had to fly my golden yellow (standard) A-Quad. So perfectly colour matched to the occasion.

An epic backdrop perfect for finding the AoxomoxoA. So I walked down to the tip of a sandbank and put up my camera on the tripod aiming for some backlit footage.

While setting up the stash the wind picked up somewhat but still on the light side. Here are fourteen minutes of that pure some call AoxomoxoA

The Longest Movie

    1. Thank you captain!

Yeah, it was pretty close to perfect! Very light wind for the first minutes but then it picked up a little bit. I let the camera record undisturbed for fifteen minutes or so. And this unedited cut was the result.
