I grabbed for the To-Go-QLK-Bag, couple of drones and a video camera and stuffed it all into the backseat of my car. Hmmmm…. Not much wind around my house, but hopefully there would be a slight onshore draft at the beach. At least that was the forecast.
As I neared the beach, my concerns grew. Judging from the branches and other wind indicators, it was not much wind, if any at all. I observed the same when parking the car. No wind. How would it be when I got down to the beach.
Well, absolutely dead calm!
I walked down to the water and faced the sea. Nope, not a draft.
Buy hey, I had my drones! So I fired up the Mavic Mini and flew around for a while. You know, practice flying!
…and then… Yes! I could feel a draft in the air. A light wind came in from the sea and it should be more than enough for a good, quality session with the Standard A-Quad!
It was!
